How to get there

Arriving by car

 

Toll –free journey via the Achenpass or Bad Tölz.

 

1. Inntal-Autobahn (motorway); road toll disc must be displayed; take the Achensee exit, Achensee-Bundesstrasse B 181, drive alongside the Achensee until you reach Achenkirch

 

2. When driving from Munich take the motorway (Autobahn) exit for Holzkirchen -, Tegernsee, Achenpass or Bad Tölz – State border, Achenkirch

 

Arriving by train & bus

 

Take the train as far as the (Bahnhof) Jenbach Station, then take the normal public bus service or a taxi to the Lake Achensee.

Take the train as far as the (Bahnhof) Tegernsee Station and then take a taxi or bus (Service no. 9550) via Kreuth to Achenkirch to the Lake Achensee (ca. 35 km).

 

Outward journey: 8.45 a.m. and 2.45 p.m.

Return journey: 10.57 a.m. and 4.57 p.m.

 

Arrival and departure using the regular scheduled bus service is free from Jenbach to the towns of Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau and Steinberg for all guests who show the bus driver evidence of their holiday accommodation booking in the Achsensee region. .

During your holiday you are also entitled to free travel on the bus between the localities of Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau and Steinberg. You will receive a free bus travel pass from your hotel landlord or landlady. 

 

Arriving by aeroplane

 

Because of its wonderful geographical location the Achensee region is close to the airports at Innsbruck (45 min), Salzburg (1 h 30 min) and Munich (also 1h 30 min).
